At Econoce, we specialise in organic nuts. Our deep expertise enables us to carefully select and handle each one, always staying true to our core values.
Our mission for many years has been to promote a healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition. That is why we keep processing to a minimum: to offer the best natural nuts and dried fruit with their authentic flavour intact. Our journey begins with fields located in the best growing areas and continues with suppliers who share our same values of respect for people and the planet. Wherever possible, we prioritise sourcing raw materials from Italian suppliers. We personally visit them to build direct, long-lasting relationships.
What does organic farming mean?
Organic farming is a cultivation system regulated by EU Regulation No. 2018/848. Its goal is to produce food while safeguarding the environment and climate, and maintaining long-term soil fertility.
In organic farming, natural fertilisers such as manure, composted organic matter (like grass clippings), and green manure crops are allowed. Soil fertility and biological activity are maintained and enhanced through traditional, primarily preventive methods that focus on preserving biodiversity, such as crop rotation and composting. Crop rotation involves alternating different plant species on the same plot over time, which helps prevent the build-up of pests and weeds that could otherwise thrive.
The use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and products derived from them is strictly prohibited in organic farming. This includes any plants, microorganisms, or animals that have been genetically altered using engineering techniques.
Companies producing and selling organic products must undergo inspection by a body officially recognised by the relevant authority. In Italy, this is the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry (MASAF). This Ethical Quality symbol embodies our philosophy of maintaining fair relationships with suppliers, valuing mutual respect rather than solely seeking the lowest prices or best terms for ourselves. Our goal is to deliver the finest, most natural products to consumers, while honouring the efforts of everyone involved.
Direct relationship
We are building direct relationships with carefully selected and accountable suppliers who align with our ethical and sustainable values. This ensures the traceability of our raw materials.
Long-term supply relationships
We are increasingly focused on establishing strong, trust-based relationships through agreements lasting at least three years. These agreements enable farmers to invest and work confidently, with a longer-term outlook.
Paying a fair price
We establish an agreed purchase price with our suppliers that ensures coverage of production costs and a fair profit. This approach safeguards income by fixing it independently of negative market fluctuations.
Support for farmers
We have implemented productivity improvement programmes for many of our suppliers, equipping them with tools, expertise, and financial backing. This increases the efficiency of their work and the resulting income. Our goal is to extend this support to an increasing number of farmers we collaborate with.

Since 2019, we have officially been one of the 6,000 entities worldwide, including 200 in Italy, that have joined the B Corp movement.
